【摘要】:Sputtercraterdepthmeasurementsareperformedinordertodetermineasputterrate(depth/time)foreachmatrixsputteredduringasputterdepthprofileorsimilarin-depthtypeanalyses.Fromsputterratevalues,alineardepthscalecanbecalculatedanddisplayedforthesputterdepthprofile.Dataobtainedfromsurfaceprofilometryareusefulinmonitoringinstrumentalparameters(forexample,rastersize,shape,andanyirregularitiesintopographyofthesputteredcrater)usedfordepthprofiles.1.1Thisguidecoversthepreferredprocedureforacquiringandpost-processingofsputtercraterdepthmeasurements.Thisguideislimitedtostylus-typesurfaceprofilometersequippedwithastage,stylus,associatedscanandsensingelectronics,videosystemforsampleandscanalignment,andcomputerizedsystem.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
